This 2,800 square feet three-bedroom apartment sits atop a residential condominium conversion by Gwathmey Siegel and Associates and was built as one of two penthouse apartments. The developer
of the project took one of the penthouse apartments as his residence. CWS was brought in to do the interior design. The open plan Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen is a double height barrel-vaulted space with views of Central Park, looking toward the Upper East Side. The Kitchen is defined by a long marble-clad island and a wall of dark-stained oak cabinetry that houses the refrigerator, freezer and ovens. There is an open stone fireplace facing the Dining Room. The Master Bedroom suite has a custom made bed with leather headboard and foot board. Each of the two additional bedrooms has its own bath, closet, and built-in desk areas. The Den has a custom made built-in leather sectional sofa and desk area, along with a recessed large screen TV and fireplace. Stone slab and wide plank bleached oak flooring, Venetian plaster walls,
and stained oak cabinetry make up the luxe materials palette.
