The owners of a traditional-style house added on to the basement and first level a series of rooms that became a library, bar and media room. Since the clients have children, this part of the house was meant to be a place for the adults to hang out. An aquarium makes a separation and focal point between the library and bar. Limestone floors, stained mahogany cabinetry and honey onyx countertops make up the material palette. Glass front liquor cabinets, a backlit onyx panel, custom pendant light fixture and console-style bar define the bar's design. The selection of furniture, carpets, lighting and window treatments was also a component of the project.
