NYC AIDS Memorial

This competition project proposes to provide a memorial to the millions of people who have died from AIDS and those that continue to live with HIV/AIDS. The red ribbon was used as the inspiration for the way of moving through the park site in a structure that will house an exhibition on the history of the AIDS epidemic and a learning center. The site will also feature a much needed neighborhood park and within the loop of the ribbon, a space for contemplation.
